Splashing to Say Hello with Mermaid Lagoon
Hi There! Tina Riddle here with the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team and this is my very first post over at the Blog! I am super excited to share my love of Brutus Monroe products!! Even more exciting that my first project is with one of my favorite stamp sets, Mermaid Lagoon! The images in this stamp set are absolutely amazing!!!
I had so much fun on this card! It included all of my favorites for creating Nautical backgrounds... Distress Ink Blending, Media Paste, and the fabulous Tangled Waves Stencil ! I love using Blending Brushes and Distress Inks to create backgrounds but when you add stenciling and texture, it's even more fun!
I love to spritz it after the ink blending to get some fun white blotches! I also used Distress Inks for my watercoloring of the images along with an Aqua Pigment Brush filled with water for blending and lightening of the color. After watercoloring, I pulled out some paper snips and fussy cut the images and then added foam tape to the front of the card for some fun dimension!
