Soak up the Sun!

Soak up the Sun!

Good morning!  Today I have a fun card using a few products from the new You are My Sunshine release.

I started by using the Simple Blend-Circle stencil.  After covering the interior with Clear Skies ink, I placed the Water stencil over the opening and blended on some No Diving and Midnight Snack ink. I kept only the Simple Blend Circle Stencil in place and covered the opening with Fairy Dust Embossing Powder.  Before I heat set the powder, I removed the Stencil and set it aside to clean later. (Blue inks were from Simon Hurley Create.)

For the rest of the panel, I used the Circle Mask that comes with the Simple Blend-Circle Stencil (and some low tack tape to hold it in place over my "pool."  Then I used some Pixie Spray and the Shades stencil. I ink blended Shooting StarRoar! and Bee Sting (Simon Hurley Create) inks and removed both the stencil and mask. Then I cut the panel down to about 4" x 5.25" and added it a White panel and then my card base. (You can skip the white panel, but I like to add it to help with the overall thickness and sturdiness of my ink blended panels.)

For my images, I stamped the two Frogs from Froggy Fun Stamp set with Raven Detail ink on Perfect Blend Alcohol Paper and colored them in with Spectrum Noir Tri-blend Markers.  Before I fussy cut them, I re-stamped them with Raven Detail ink.  I chose a sentiment from Summer Lovin' stamps and adhered all three to my panel, popping up the lounging frog with foam tape.

I did create this card on my live this past week and you can check out the video here.
