No-Line Watercoloring with Aqua Pigments | Cards with Ashley

Hello everyone, it's Ashley back on the blog today and I have some no-line watercoloring to share with you!

I stamped the bear image from the Birthday Bears stamp set with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper. This ink will kind of disappear while I paint because it is very light and activates with water.

I painted the image with Aqua Pigment paints. I started very lightly with my color and slowly built it up where my shadows needed to be. Check out the product links below to see what colors I used!

Once the paint was dry I added more detail with colored pencils. Then I added some highlights with a white gel pen.

I mounted the painting on a white card base with foam tape. For the sentiment I embossed a stamp from the Super Sentimental stamp set with Alabaster white embossing powder on some red cardstock. I popped that up on the card and then added some clear sequins.

Thank you for stopping by with me today! I hope you enjoyed seeing this technique! Have you ever tried no-line watercoloring? If not, try it out! It may seem intimidating, but it is actually really fun!
