Make your own stencil!

Make your own stencil!

When I first saw the Heart Petals Die set, I thought it looked like a stencil.  Don't get me wrong...I love a good paper piecing session (that's what I'm planning to do with it next!) but I had to give my stencil idea a try!  I hope you will, too!
I used the inner part of the die (no need for the outline part) to cut into a piece of Not Your Mama's cardstock.  I wasn't planning on using it more than once, but I wanted it to stand up to a considerable amount of Glitter Glaze.  I taped this "stencil" to my black cardstock and applied some Fuschia Glitter Glaze (you must see this color in real life--these photos don't do it justice!)
The rest of the card is simple.  The Hugs die is from Christopher's Sentiments die set.  My teammate Shannon used it for one of her projects and after I saw it, that set went immediately into my cart!  These dies have shadows to back the thin sentiment (and they cut like butter!)  Don't forget to cut your dies several times from cardstock and layer up for dimension.
Making stencils from your dies opens up a new avenue to use all your mediums.  I'd love to see how you use your dies to make stencils.  Tag me on Instagram @katedeignancards
