Happy Holidays Gift Tag
Hi everyone! It is Verity here again from Pretty Little Button, so good to be back up on the blog again. I don't know about you, but I am loving the Oh,deer! stamp set and of course it is perfect for this time of year - Christmas is coming! I created this festive gift tag with a more masculine twist on it, which can make it it a great unisex gift tag to have in your stash for when you need it. So without any more from me, why not read on to find out how it came together.
Happy Holidays gift tag details:
For the background of the tag, I used the Watercolor Background stamp with Rock Candy surface ink. This blue helps gives an icy and winter feel to the background. I stamped this several times, changing the orientation of the stamp until I had a good coverage. I mixed Black Soot distress oxide with water and created a paint splatter effect over the background. This dries to a soft grey and I felt this gave a snowy look to the tag.
I stamped, in Raven detailed ink, three deer onto scrap white card and coloured these in with regular coloured pencils - trying to great shading for depth and interest.
I fussy cut out the three deer and foam mounted onto the tag. I heat embossed the Happy Holidays sentiment from the stamp set and double foam mounted this onto the tag. Lastly, I added black ribbon trim directly onto the tag, and used this through the hole to help fasten onto a gift.
