Gray scale card using surface ink
Hi friends! Luisana here back with another card made with some awesome Brutus Monroe products.
For today’s card I wanted to make a simpler and easier project than I’ve done in the past weeks.
For this card you are going to need:
Surface ink in gargoyle
February’s stencil of the month
Blending sponge
4X5.25 white card stock
4.25 X 5.5 black card stock
Bakers twine of choice
Double sided foam
Large sentiment of choice
First, I placed the stencil where I want it on the white card stock and secured it using painters tape. I used my blending sponge to grab color from my surface ink and with circular motions I applied the color to my card. I kept doing that until I was happy with the color. I had originally planned on placing a smaller sentiment in the center but I changed my mind. I have this fun stampers journey stamping sentiment I love and decided to use that instead.
I stamped my sentiment on a scrap piece of white card stock and I picked a cute oval die and cut it out using my die cutting machine. I applied double sided foam all over the back of the oval sentiment.
I adhered the stenciled panel to the black card stock and placed my bakers twine towards the bottom of the card, securing it with glue in the back. I placed my oval sentiment piece in the very center of my base and just like that, my card is finished.
I just love love love the gray and black tones in this card. Thank you so much for reading this far, I hope you learned something new or even got inspired to create something pretty today.
Until next week,
Luisana.
